Single-Arm Study

Study Design

Also known as: single arm trial, single-arm trial, one-arm study

A clinical study in which all participants receive the same intervention, without a comparison group.

Single-arm studies are common in early-phase oncology and rare-disease research where randomization is impractical. They typically rely on historical controls or pre-specified objective response thresholds.
