The Office for Human Research Protections (OHRP) is part of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. It administers the Common Rule, registers IRBs (IORG/IRB numbers), maintains Federalwide Assurances (FWAs), investigates allegations of non-compliance, and issues guidance documents.
